Tom Fischer - "The Tale Your Garden Tells"                                                    Co-sponsors: HPS/MAG and The Scott Arboretum of Swarthmore College
Reception follows the lecture.
Tom Fischer has gardened for 18 years in Boston while on the staff of Horticulture magazine, first as senior editor, then executive editor, and finally editor. When he moved to Portland OR to take the position of Editor-in-Chief of Timber press, he had to learn to garden in a very different environment. This creative lecture will focus on his new garden, which has a Mediterranean feel. The talk will highlight plants that look Mediterranean, but can cope with northeast conditions                                                                                                                                                  Lang Auditorium, Swarthmore College.
