Seed Propagation Workshop
Henry Foundation
801 Stony Lane, Gladwyn, PA 19035
Cosponsored by HPS and The Henry Foundation for Botanical Research
Lorraine Wallace and Gene Spurgeon will lead a discussion and give a
brief introduction covering some of the basics of seed germination.
After a short demonstration, participants will do hands-on learning,
using a variety of methods and techniques, starting with the germination
abbreviations used in the HPS/MAG Seed Catalog. HPS/MAG will provide all
equipment and supplies, including soil mix, pots, and a wide variety of
seeds. Bring a lunch and sodas, if desired. We will provide water,
coffee, tea, and cookies. Wear old clothes and sensible shoes since
there will be periods of work at counter-high benches. There is no
charge to attend, but workshop size is limited to 16 participants and to
HPS/MAG members only.
