HPS/MAG is run entirely by volunteers who benefit from the friendship and shared experience of plant lovers working together. Our members include some of the area’s most knowledgeable gardeners who are always pleased to share information. The more you volunteer, the more you learn.
Here are ways you can help:
March Into Spring
We need volunteers to help vendors unload plants and staff the silent auction table. Your reward is the opportunity to scope out the best plants before the hordes arrive.
Special Interest Groups (SIGs)
Help plan and coordinate daytrips and other events.
Plant sales
Set up, clean up, price plants, carry plants to tables, pick up plants from local nurseries.
Seed Exchange
Gather seeds from your garden, local arboreta, and public gardens; process seeds in October; package seeds and fill orders in January and February. Check the calendar for dates.
Other volunteer activities
Lectures, mailing, hospitality, and the potluck supper.
