"Ecological All Stars" - A Virtual Event

Speaker: Steve Wright, Jenkins Arboretum

In this program Steve will discuss the various traits that make plants ecologically valuable. He will then present his 10-species “All Star Team” comprised of native woody species that combine several of these traits resulting in enormous ecological and environmental impact.

Steve Wright is the Director of Horticulture and Curator of Plant Collections at Jenkins Arboretum & Gardens in Devon, PA. He has a Master’s degree in forestry and entomology from Louisiana State University and a Bachelor’s degree in agricultural education from Delaware Valley University. Steve’s main horticultural interests are native plants, plant/animal interactions, and environmental stewardship.

There will be a one-hour presentation followed by a 10 minute Q&A session. Members and non-members welcome. Free for members and non-members fee is $10. Limited to 100 attendees
