Walking Workshop - Discovering a Naturalistic, Meadow-Style Home Garden

Workshop to be conducted at Goodly Gardens in Worcester, PA.

Everyone needs a meadow garden!  Observe and discover naturalistic meadow-style designs in a home garden - involving ornamental grasses, wildflowers and sequencing blooms, as well as several naturalistic “island-styled” garden beds.  A casual, up close walking tour of Thom Mrazik’s naturalistic Goodly Gardens, a PHS Blue Ribbon Award-winning home garden, as well as a Penn State Extension-certified pollinator- and watershed-friendly garden.

Consider meadow-style features - the importance of scale, planting in mass, accent blooms, layering, and the plant's maturing features.  All in harmony with an adjacent meadow preserve and property features.  And, of course, all your questions, including “What’s that?” will be answered!  Leave with the confidence that you too can create your own meadow-style home garden.

To inform your experience, be sure to watch Thom’s Tuesday at Ten presentation  March 22, 10:00-10:45 AM, Discover Warm Season Ornamental Grasses.”
