With things getting back to normal more, a two day trip to New York City has been added to the program this year.

Day One

We will leave from Downingtown Brandywine Shopping Center by the BJs  Wednesday morning at 7:00am.

Untermeyer Gardens

The Untermyer Gardens Conservancy is a non-profit organization founded in 2011 by Stephen F. Byrns. The Conservancy collaborates with the City of Yonkers to facilitate the restoration of Samuel Untermyer’s gardens in Yonkers, New York. Untermyer Park and Gardens is a City of Yonkers public park. We will have a tour of the gardens by a garden docent and you will have time to explore on your own too.

New York Botanical Gardens

Next stop of the day will be to the New York Botanical Gardens.  You will have time to explore the gardens and to check out this year's special exhibit: "Kusama: Cosmic Nature". Before we leave the garden we will have a box lunch in the gardens. Their gift shop will be open for browsing.

We will be staying at the Fairfield Inn & Suites located at 325 West 33rd Street right in Midtown Manhattan.  Perfectly located for dining at night and the next day walking over to the High Line Gardens.

Day Two

 High Line Gardens

We will meet in the lobby of the hotel and will walk or take the bus over to the High Line Gardens together. Unfortunately, they have not started up their tours for this year because of covid.  We will be able to explore the gardens from 30th Street down to 10th, if time allows.  Plans for a box lunch is in the planning stages.

Wave Hill Gardens

Second garden of the day will be Wave Hill.  At Wave Hill we will have a one hour tour of the gardens and everyone will have free time to explore the gardens on your own.  There is a garden shop that will be open for you to browse through.

After two days filled with beautiful gardens and great company, it will be time to head back home.
