Visit HPS/MAG 2021 Grant Recipient Bartram's Gardens

Plan to arrive at 10:00 am to join Curator Joel Fry and Horticulturist Katie Jacoby for an intimate history oriented tour of the botanical gardens at Bartram's Garden. We'll begin in the most recently reimagined gardens, the Carr Garden and Eastwick Garden discussing their creation, design inspiration and plant choices. We'll wind our way through the lower wilderness gardens and down to the 18th century cider press hand carved out of river-side Wissahickon schist. Please note that many of our pathways are not paved, appropriate footwear is suggested. We will also be able to amend the tour to accommodate accessibility. All are welcome to stay and bring a picnic lunch and explore the meadow, bike trail, river and boathouse, Sankofa Farm and community garden plots, everything that makes this public garden unique!

Rain date is November 5th. All info remains the same.

This is a Members' Only Event. The visit is limited to 20 members. Cost is $ 5.00 per person. Registration and online payment is required. Click here to register. Registration closes on October 27th.
