"The Wonderful World of Conifers "

Speaker: Joan Biddle

Conifers provide endless structure, shape, texture and color in the garden. They can be majestic or diminutive, they are stand alone specimen trees or provide screening from eyesores or neighbors. They integrate with every other plant in the garden! Who can do without them? As you plan new landscapes or tweak existing ones, this family of plants should be in the mix for sure. You will get a high level view of the major conifer groups, id features, a basic refresher of these indispensable plants.

"Tuesdays at 10" is a free Members-Only Educational Series of Virtual Lectures. Registration is required for each session.

Registration  is now closed. This event will be recorded and available to watch for just 2 weeks following the lecture. Maximum number of attendees is 100.

Joan Biddle is a 20+ year member of Wissahickon Garden Club. She was conscripted into the garden at an early age, pulling crabgrass and weeding beds. But she didn’t begin her study of horticulture until she joined her club. Joan works to deepen her knowledge through lectures, workshops, tours, books and selecting plants for her own garden, which has been evolving over the past 30 years. She is a Garden Club of America horticulture judge and currently serves as a GCA Zone V Chairman.
