Guided Tour of Morris Arboretum – Holly Highlights & Winter Greenery

In January 2022, HPS began a special collaboration with the Morris Arboretum which allows us to offer docent-guided tours throughout the year focused on specific types of trees within the arboretum’s renowned collection. The first of these tours took place on January 18th and was a hit with the hardy Hardy Plant-ers that braved the breezy 35° weather to learn all about conifers. Dogwoods, small specimen trees, and native trees were the focus of the tours in May, June, and October, respectively.

So bundle up and join us for the final guided tour of the year at the Morris Arboretum. This tour will highlight the arboretum’s extensive collection of hollies and other broadleaf evergreens that enliven the winter landscape and provide year-round appeal. Learn some fun facts and get new ideas for your own home garden.

The tour begins at the Widener Visitor Center and will leave promptly at 1:00 PM.

The arboretum’s hours are 10 AM - 4 PM. Tour attendees may arrive early or stay after the tour to further explore the arboretum. You will not want to miss the spectacular outdoor Holiday Garden Railway exhibit featuring a quarter-mile track with model trains and buildings meticulously decorated for the holidays. The gift shop and restrooms will be open.
