Speaker: Sharee Solow
Do you want to go couch shopping with a professional? Every year I see dozens of new perennials listed in catalogues and I also see some in person at events through MANTS, GWA and PPA. All of them aren't winners, some look just like what we already have, and only time in the gr ound will tell us how good they will be in our region. I'll pull out the on es that look the best and tell you what is supposed to set these apart from the crowd. These are the ones that I am looking for when I go shopping.
One of the Mid-Atlantic region’s most respected certified-horticulturis ts and landscape designers, Sharee Solow, blends a lifetime of accomplishme nts, degrees in both horticulture and landscape architecture, along with ex tensive international travel to offer uniquely sophisticated designs and le ctures. Through a design/build seminar in Atami, Japan, she earned certific ates in Japanese garden design history, construction, and maintenance. A po pular speaker and writer for professional landscape organizations, garden s ocieties and arboretums, she is known for visionary ideas but also practica l and realistic applications, often incorporating recent discoveries and tr ends from her travels. Her personal garden has been featured on regional an d national tours and appeared on the cover of PHS Grow magazine among other s. SolowHorticultural Designs.com
