An in-depth look into the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society ; the historic organization responsible for putting on the annual Philadelp hia Flower Show. We will explore the organizational in-reach, outreach, and PHS the business. We will also look at the ambitious goals of Vision 2027 and how PHS is looking to be the authority on the creating healthy living e nvironments, increasing access to fresh food, expanding economic opportunit y, and building meaningful social connections.
"Tuesdays at 10" is a free Members-Only Educational Series of Virtual Lectures. Regis tration is required for each session. Registration is closed. This eve nt will be recorded and available to watch for just 2 weeks following the l ecture. Maximum number of attendees is 100.
Frederick received his bachelor's degree in Psychology from Duke University, with a double minor i n Sociology and Theater Studies. He has spent most of his fundraising caree r in collegiate athletics, with stops at Duke University, the United States Military Academy at West Point, and Temple University. Most recently he wo rked with a grassroots non-profit in West Philadelphia focused on creating alternative outlets for at-risk youths and young adults. In his spare time, Frederick volunteers at a 3,500ft2 urban garden located in West Philadelph ia. As a self-described chef-in-waiting, he enjoys cooking with his wife, a nd traveling to the tropics.
