25th Annual HPS/MAG Annual Seed Exchange

The ordering period for seeds for this year has closed. We aim to mail seed orders to our customers during the last week of February.

Seed exchange workshops - volunteers welcome

Workshops to clean and package seeds for our Seed Exchange will resume on February 12 and will continue for at least two weeks, depending on the weather. The workshops will be held on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 10:00 am – 2:30 pm at The Henry Foundation for Botanical Research, 801 Stony Lane, Gladwyne, PA. Workshops are a great way to meet and chat with fellow members while we work. They are also a wonderful way to learn new things about seeds and seed propagation, and maybe take home something interesting to try from our left-over seed bin. Most importantly, the workshops are fun! Bring a lunch for yourself and maybe a snack to share. Coffee, tea, and water will be provided.

To schedule a workshop, please contact our volunteer coordinator Polly Garnett at [email protected], 610- 695-9135. Since the Seed Exchange workshops may coincide with the worst of the winter's weather, we will notify volunteers of cancellations with an announcement on the  HPS/MAG website, www.hardyplant.org, by 8:00 am of each workshop day on which the weather is a factor. For those without access to a computer, if the weather is bad, please call Carole Maher at 215-356-7377.
