Join international travel host Trevor Edwards for an entertaining and informative introduction to the upcoming HPS/MAG trip to discover the Gardens of Sicily, with an optional extension to Rome.

Trevor will preview our September 9-20, 2024, bespoke tour of the outstanding gardens and fantastic scenery of Sicily with an optional extension to tour several must-see gardens of Rome. This will be the fourth time Trevor has been our garden host for an HPS/MAG International Travel Program.

I have lost count of the number of Garden Tours I have managed in Sicily but I will NEVER forget the many wonderful people I have met. Neither will I forget the countless exciting experiences which this varied but beautiful country delivers time after time!

For those who will take up the Optional Extension to include ROME, I can assure you that this will provide the ‘icing’ on a ‘cake’ made from the best of ingredients.

Speaker Bio:  Trevor Edwards has been a self-employed Horticulturist for the last 47 years. For the first 25 years, he operated his own small Garden Center in his hometown of Carrickfergus. Since then, he has worked as a Garden Designer & Consultant. He has also been featured on TV & radio programs. In recent years, he has travelled all over the world as a Garden Tour Manager including Italy, Sicily, Spain, France, USA, Japan, Morocco, Singapore, New Zealand, Grenada (Spice Island), Barbados, Mauritius, and the gardens of India’s Golden Triangle.

Garden tours of Ireland feature regularly in his busy schedule, bringing gardeners from all over the world to visit the wonderful Gardens of the Island of Ireland. He has lectured in many countries on the gardens of Ireland on behalf of Tourism Ireland and Tourism Northern Ireland to promote garden tourism to the Island of Ireland.

Trevor is a Director of the Northern Ireland Heritage Gardens Trust; he is also a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Gardeners, and a Freeman of the City of London. He was formerly a Director/Trustee of the Ulster Architectural Heritage Society. He is currently the Area Organizer for the National Gardens Scheme in Northern Ireland.

This Zoom program is free to all HPS/MAG Members and Non-members. Participation in any HPS/MAG trip is open to HPS/MAG Members only.

This event will be recorded and available to watch up until the trip begins on September 9, 2024.

Please make sure you have Zoom installed on your computer. Plan to join 5 minutes before the start time. The talk will be followed by a 15-minute Q&A. Questions can be submitted via the chat box and will be read to the speaker by the HPS/MAG moderator. Please note that all participants will be muted for the duration of the event.
