Spring Garden Tour at Northview – Walk, Talk (Bulbs!), and Tea – 
at Jenny Rose Carey’s Northview Gardens, Ambler, PA

Join us for another opportunity to visit Northview, the garden of Jenny Rose Carey, author, educator, and speaker. Many HPS members and guests braved the oppressive heat to visit Northview in July 2023. Treat yourself and visit again, or for the first time, on a cool April day.

The April garden at Northview will be bursting into life. Jenny has a passion for spring and it shows in her collection of daffodils and other little bulbs that should be at their prime during this April visit. This walk and talk will visit the shade garden where the spring ephemerals will be emerging. The last of the Witch hazels may still be in bloom too.

The walk will continue around the diverse garden to examine bulbous plants. A specialty at Northview is the collection of historic daffodils that were bred prior to 1940. There is an A-Y of old-fashioned daffodils arranged alphabetically. (Not that Jenny is an obsessed gardener!)

The area that is now Northview Garden was originally part of the Lenni Lenape tribal lands. There is also some evidence that the land was part of a route of the Underground Railroad to free slaves. The property was purchased by Jenny and her husband in 1997 and has been enhanced constantly since that time.

Northview is a garden not to be missed, as many HPS members will attest. Join us to experience it for yourself.

This event is for Members only. Registration is required. The cost is $12 per person. Maximum number of guests is 36. A waitlist will be available if needed.
