Goodly Gardens- Fall Features with a free plant raffle 

Goodly Gardens is a widely recognized mature, naturalistic-style meadow home garden, with long-lasting features. Inspired by Piet Oudolf’s “wild-style” garden designs, the garden is a mingling of perennial ornamental grasses and flowers.

Leisurely walk around and browse the gardens and meadows of Goodly Gardens, enjoying the wealth of ornamental features - potpourri of new growth, everyday changes, maturing interests and/or emerging plant skeletons. 

All visitors will be given a free ticket for a raffle of selected plant divisions from the garden - ornamental grasses and wildflowers. If you’re lucky, take home a plant to place right back into your garden.

Goodly Gardens is a mature naturalistic meadow-style garden with 8 naturalistic garden beds and ~1500 sq. ft of meadow for a total of ~3500 sq. ft of cultivated landscape. Naturalistic meadow-style gardens are densely planted, focusing on structure, foliage, maturing features, and are accented with flower petals. Goodly Gardens is a Penn State Extension-certified pollinator- and watershed-friendly garden.

Thom is a Penn State Extension Master Gardener Emeritus, and he completed the Barnes Arboretum horticulture program. He has published articles on meadow gardens, ornamental grasses and wildflowers in Fine Gardening (finegardening.com) and The National Gardener Magazine. (https://gardenclub.org/). Thom has also given generously of his time to HPS/MAG, presenting several virtual talks and hosting numerous pop-ups at his home garden.
