Native Ornamental Grasses

Make your home garden meadow more authentic with native ornamental grasses. Native grasses can provide season-long beauty as they mature over time; they are stunning en masse, full of animation and emotion, truly a pleasure to behold. In addition to their unique ornamental features, these grasses can provide structural support for wildflowers, help native insects and other wildlife to thrive, and provide seeds for birds. Visit Goodly Gardens in Worcester, PA to see many native ornamental grasses and to discuss design considerations for your home garden.

This will be a casual, up-close walking tour of Thom Mrazik’s naturalistic Goodly Gardens, a PHS Blue Ribbon Award-winning home garden, as well as a Penn State Extension-certified pollinator- and watershed-friendly garden.

Open to members only.

There is no registration fee, but registration is required.

Instead of a fee, help feed the food insecure/needy by bringing a donation of 5-10 lbs. of nonperishable groceries (e.g., canned, dry, and nonperishable goods) which will be donated to Martha's Choice Food Pantry in Norristown.

Registration to open mid June 2023.

Maximum number of attendees is 15. Registration closes August 6th.

HPS/MAG COVID-19 PRACTICES AND POLICIES: All HPS/MAG In-Person Events shall be subject to all COVID-related requirements imposed by any state, local and/or federal agency. Guests and invitees should apprise themselves of any such requirements prior to attendance. All HPS/MAG In-Person Events shall also be subject to the COVID-related requirements, if any, of the garden host. All attendees must bring a mask for every In-Person Event, in case it is required.
