"Let's Look at New Perennials for 2021" - A Virtual Event

Speaker: Sharee Solow

Do you want to go couch shopping with a professional? Every year I see dozens of new perennials listed in catalogues and I also see some in person at events through MANTS, GWA and PPA. All of them aren't winners, some look just like what we already have, and only time in the ground will tell us how good they will be in our region. I'll pull out the ones that look the best and tell you what is supposed to set these apart from the crowd. These are the ones that I am looking for when I go shopping.

One of the Mid-Atlantic region’s most respected certified-horticulturists and landscape designers, Sharee Solow, blends a lifetime of accomplishments, degrees in both horticulture and landscape architecture, along with extensive international travel to offer uniquely sophisticated designs and lectures. Through a design/build seminar in Atami, Japan, she earned certificates in Japanese garden design history, construction, and maintenance. A popular speaker and writer for professional landscape organizations, garden societies and arboretums, she is known for visionary ideas but also practical and realistic applications, often incorporating recent discoveries and trends from her travels. Her personal garden has been featured on regional and national tours and appeared on the cover of PHS Grow magazine among others.  SolowHorticulturalDesigns.com
