A Visit to Astrid & Jeff’s Garden

Join us for a late summer tour of a beautiful garden at the home of two of our fellow HPS members. Astrid describes their garden for us below. Sounds to be well worth a visit!

Our gardens surround all sides of our home in Newtown Square, Pa. We have all season interest with many perennials, shrubs, and unique trees. Some of our favorites include Curly Lamp Post Norway Maple, Cercis Canadensis 'Carolina Sweetheart,' and a mature Sourwood that was on the property when we purchased our home 27 years ago.

Over the years, we added new garden beds and created different seating areas from which to enjoy the views. A lounge patio with a view of Metasequoia 'Soul Fire' and a hammock garden with a Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Snow' are just a couple of the gardens we have added to encourage relaxation.

One of the kindest descriptions I have heard about our gardens is that it's like a "beautiful tapestry." The colors, the textures, and plants we have from the gardens of those who hold special memories in our hearts, and the love I put into each garden we have, make it my “happy place”.

This is a member’s only event ;located in Newtown Square, PA 19073 but registration is required. $5 per attendee. Maximum number of guests is 15.
